Daytona 2026: Yeah, We’ll Be There... Sort Of.

Daytona 2026: Yeah, We’ll Be There... Sort Of.

You all always ask if we’re going to be at Daytona Bike Week, and for 2026, the answer is yes—sort of.

Between the Main Street crawl and the endless rows of corporate vendors, there's a lot to see, but we only have so much time. If we’re going to Daytona, we’re doing it the Indie Ridge way—which means we're heading to New Smyrna Speedway, not Daytona.

The Mission: Sons of Speed (Feb 28)

This is why we’re making the trip. Last year, Nathan of @Old_Soul_Custom wanted to race his vintage Harley motorcycles in a pair of our Crow boots. Steve flew out to watch the race, had a blast in the pits, and we’ve been hooked ever since.

Founded by Billy Lane of Choppers Inc., the Sons of Speed is a series of races that pay homage to early 20th-century board-track racing. A small, dedicated group of riders race pre-1950s, brakeless, stripped-down American V-Twin motorcycles for the love of the sport. Although crowds flock to "official" speedway events, the Sons of Speed remains an unsanctioned, outlaw tradition that brings racers from around the world to test their skills on everything from 100-year-old machines to 45-cubic-inch twins.

Indie Ridge is officially sponsoring the race this year at New Smyrna Speedway—marking the Sons of Speed’s tenth season. Located just south of Daytona Beach, it’s the perfect escape from the Main Street crowds. If you haven’t seen this yet, you’re missing out. We’re talking board-track-style bikes with no brakes and hand-shifters, tearing around a half-mile asphalt track at 80mph. It’s loud, it’s dangerous, and it’s the most badass and authentic race you could possibly imagine.

We’ll be set up right in the pits all day on February 28th during the 85th Anniversary of Daytona Bike Week. If you want to see the gear in its natural habitat, get your VIP ticket for pit access and come find our tent. We’ll be there for the racing, the riders, and the pure chaos of it all.

The Sunday Goal: 2026 Demo Rides

Before we pack up the tent and head home on Sunday, we’re hoping to hit the Daytona International Speedway for the Daytona Bike Week demo rides.

There is no better way to get a pulse on the industry than jumping on the newest 2026 models from Harley-Davidson, Indian, and the rest. It’s one of the best parts of Bike Week—getting to put some real-world miles on a bike before you decide to add it to your garage.

What are you looking forward to?

We’re heading down to focus on the race at New Smyrna, but we know everyone does Bike Week differently.

Are you hitting the Daytona Supercross? Taking the long way through the Loop in Ormond Beach? Or just looking for the best dive bar outside city limits?

Gear Up Before the Haul

Don't be the person making a last-minute run to Walmart for a generic, scratchy T-shirt just because you didn't realize how brutal the Florida sun is at noon—or how much the temperature drops once you're off the bike at night.

Indie Ridge Pro-Tip: If you’re riding down from the north on I-95, the wind at the Florida-Georgia line is no joke. That’s why we’re packing our UV Sleeves—they’re easier than sunscreen and keep the windburn off your forearms during the long haul.

If you need a solid pair of protective motorcycle boots that you can break in by the time you hit the road, grab them now. We’ve also got the short and long-sleeve shirts you’ll actually want to be wearing when you’re crossing the state line, plus motorcycle masks to handle the track dust and hats for when the helmet finally comes off. Don't wait until you're in a staging lane to realize you're missing the essentials.
