Love these boots!

I’ve already put 2,000 + miles on them, and they looking as handsome as when they came out of the box! Comfort, waterproof, grippy, and rad…everything you want in a motorcycle boot!

It’s been awesome to be an (early) member of the Indie Ridge Insiders and an honor to have Indie Ridge name these boots after my people, The Mohawk. Thanks to Steve and the rest of IR.

Niá:wen!

Actually Black with a Rich Brown Undercolor

I really like these boots, but they are not quite what I was expecting. From the photos, I thought they would be a dark brown, but they are actually black on the surface. And, as that surface has started to wear, a rich dark brown core has started to show. This is actually a beautiful effect on my Red Wing Black Prairie leather boots (google it), and I expect it will develop that way here. Also, I wear size 10.5 dress shoes, but I got these in 10, and they are the right size for me, comfortably tight out of the box, but the leather should stretch to the perfect size in time. The quality and value of these boots are 5 star.

Indie Ridge Mohawk motorcycle boot

I purchased the boots from Indie Ridge after extensive research online and trying out boots in stores. (I was going to take a Harley Davidson safe riding course, and needed boots.) I have been absolutely delighted with them, and have already recommended them to several friends.

The boots are a delightful combination of being very sturdy and protective while still being quite comfortable right out of the box. The shifting portion of the toe section is thick and strong and does not seem at all likely to wear through, at least quickly. The ankle coverage is also reinforced. I do not know if the shoe/ankle connection will soften and become more flexible with time, but I did need to put a little bit of shin into my shifting because of the boot’s stiffness at this point. I did not try on any serious boot that did not also have this stiffness, at least as a new boot.

Some people wear boots with raised heels because their bike is a little too tall for them. Your bike should already fit you in street shoes if you are going to wear the Indie ridge boot, because the boot does not make you taller.

I would highly recommend this boot to anyone wanting a serious motorcycle boot, especially one that they can wear indoors to a nice restaurant. 😺🏍
